I set up Moonshine Editions in July 2019 to publish my book on the Climax Blues Band, a band whose music I have listened to and enjoyed since 1976. Call it a labour of love – an act of homage. Writing that book proved to be a very rewarding and deeply personal undertaking and as such I wanted to have control of the production and publishing process.
I am fortunate because for the past 25 years I have run my own publishing production business. In that time, our small team have put together around 300 books for more than 150 authors around the world, on subjects ranging from aviation and military history, to motorsport, wildlife, biography and books on spacesuits and hedgehogs! So I have gained an insight into the ever-changing publishing landscape.
Climax is one band: there are (and were) many more. I’m always more than happy to consider proposals for other books on bands or artists if you have the material and the desire to write.
